Here you will find the most important starting information for producers. Start information for sellers can be found in the article Sellers.

How do I construct a building?

Productive buildings are built under BUILD MENU ⇒ Production buildings. We recommend building a factory as the first building, as agricultural buildings are not profitable enough to start with.
The buildings must have a production area of at least 50 m² and a storage area of 20 m². However, the first building should be much larger.

Where should I build?

One criterion for deciding where to build is the price of the plot. This is at least €20,000 and is significantly higher on the edge of the city than on the edge of the map.
There is also a production bonus in some regions (e.g. for raw materials produced in farms
However, transportation costs and the duration of transportation increase with distance.
You should therefore consider whether you would rather save on land costs or take advantage of the proximity to the city.

For the two company buildings Advertising Agency and Research Laboratory, the location is not decisive for product quality. It is therefore advisable to build them as far away from the city as possible in order to save costs when purchasing the land.

IMPORTANT: company buildings only generate costs and no profit, so they are not recommended at the start of the game.

What can I produce?

The first two products do not need to be researched. After completing a production building, you have the option of selecting up to two products, which are available to you immediately and free of charge; please note that this is ONLY possible in the production plant, the first free products, not in the research laboratory! In addition, the first products have a reputation and quality value of 50, which does not decrease until the €1 million limit is reached.

Further products must first be researched in a research laboratory.

Selection of the first product

The list of all available products can be found in the PRODUCT OVERVIEW ⇒ Overview menu. Different products are available depending on which type of production building has been constructed. As the building initially only has four storage spaces and one of these is required for the manufactured product, initially only products that require a maximum of three raw materials can be manufactured.

Sales markets

Another important question is whether the product can be sold well. A buyer for the product can be advertised on the notice board (CITY ⇒ Bulletin board "City name"). Of course, the chat can also be used for this purpose. It is also helpful to produce a product that is only available in small quantities on the wholesale market.
A direct buyer is helpful because there are no transportation costs for the buyer and there is no risk of not finding a supply on the wholesale market. This means that the direct buyer can usually charge a little more than the wholesale market.

Optimum size of building and warehouse

Production buildings should have as large a production area as possible. The larger the area, the lower the production price. How much stock is needed depends on the product. The PRODUCT OVERVIEW should be consulted for a better estimate.
The construction of larger buildings takes considerably longer than the subsequent expansion. However, as the first building is completed in two minutes, regardless of its size, it should be as large as possible right from the start. After purchasing the first building, however, you must have enough cash to buy the first raw materials.

Transportation costs

Transportation can be expensive. Their costs are made up of the distance and the size of the truck. You therefore pay a fixed component, and only lightly loaded transports reduce the profit. It is therefore advisable to always ship vans with as much cargo as possible.

Customs duty is payable on shipments to other cities. This is calculated as follows:

If the shipping price is below the wholesale market price, the wholesale market price is used as the basis for calculation. Customs duty is to be paid by the recipient.
