Your first business
Start as a seller. You buy goods from the wholesale market or directly from your fellow players and sell them to the population in your stores.
Choose a city and get planning permission
Think about which industry you like and which city you would like to start in. You can select a city using the mini-map at the top left.
The market overview (Products menu) gives you a good impression of what is missing in this town (marked in green).
Also check the wholesale market to see if there are other players from whom you can buy here. Filter on industry or supermarket. Lokalo-Best is only an emergency solution, better are brand products with quality and reputation.
Each town has its own wholesale market and you cannot buy from other towns immediately.
Baked goods, flowers, butchers and fruit and vegetables mainly have perishable products, which can be interesting but also difficult.
If you are unsure, look in Statistics > Rankings > Profit/Net Worth and see how the top 10 have made a lot of profit in a short time. These statistics usually include very young companies.
Once you have decided, get a building permit and read the mail for some small change.
Build a store, buy a vehicle, hire staff
There are few customers in the white outskirts, but not so many other players sell here either. There are more inhabitants in the red center, but almost everyone builds here and the properties are more expensive. Both can work very well. Your store has a range of 6 spaces and should not contain too much green meadow or blue water.
Build your first store as large as possible, leaving just enough money for a vehicle and some goods. All subsequent buildings need time.
Then get some staff, if you can't find any on the labor market, "hire at random"help.
Buy a vehicle in the same city and a driver for it. Open your store, otherwise you won't be able to deliver anything there.
Get the good stuff
The shopping cart ( blue arrow ) takes you directly to the wholesale market. You have 2 shelves which you should stock with different products.
Preferably not from Lokalo-Best (that's the NPC) but branded goods made by players with quality and reputation, even if they are perhaps more expensive.
Use the coin symbol at the end of the line to shop. Buy plenty, you will soon need more. Make sure you enter your open store as the destination.
If you can't find any products, come into our Discord-Chat and ask your fellow players!
Once the goods have arrived in the store, give each shelf half of your vendors and set the price so that the factor ends up somewhere around 30. Confirm with the Enter key or the brown button ( circled in yellow ).
Later, it makes sense to give each shelf a total of 10 sellers, or more if there is a need. If there is still capital left, start building the 3rd shelf.
From 08:05 to 23:50, customers are served every 15 minutes. It can happen that a few ticks there are few customers and then many. Try to buy supplies in good time.
Profit!
In the building statistics ( purple arrow ) you can see which goods are profitable and which are not. And also the quantities that are sold. If you have found top goods, write an e-mail to the manufacturer in the game and ask him for daily deliveries. Then you no longer have to buy the goods yourself.
Keep expanding your store and adding more shelves. See how many products your industry offers: that's how many shelves you should have.
If you have enough capital, build more stores. Maybe in another city, then you can buy from the wholesale market there.
Click on the factor on the shelf to see your neighbors. If one of them sells in more than 50% of your territory, it is an important competitor. Change your factor (via the price) so that you are only about 5 points below him, but remain as expensive as possible.
Keep an eye on the quantity in the warehouse and replenish it, if it is not perishable, buy plenty.
On some shelves you will find a red % indication. This means that you do not have enough sellers for the quantity that is possible. Either make the goods more expensive or hire more sellers.
Production from 5+ stores
Research your first two products in the factory
The best time to start production is when your stores are already making good profits. 10 days after founding your company, the bank will give you credit.
Choose a location. Land close to the city is expensive, but saves transportation costs and time.
Build a factory and research your first two products in the factory. Bonus: 50 quality and 50 reputation in all cities
At first, only produce end products that you can sell yourself, and get the raw materials and intermediate products from other players.
Products > Overview is a good source of information that shows you not only the factory type but also the minimum number of storage slots you need. Note that in addition to the storage slots for the raw materials, you will also need an additional storage slots for the finished product.
Later, build the research laboratory and an advertising agencyin each city where you want to sell. Beware, the construction costs are very high!
If you don't know what to do with your money, apply for shortened building permits in all cities, build lots of factories at 5k and then merge them up to your maximum size (depending on the level). This will quickly give you several large factories.
